Green Zes Former Troy Y Obituri, Death: 17 -year -old Grison Michael Zess of East Troy, Wisconsin, died tragically on Saturday, June 7, 2025, which occurred after an ATV accident on the rolling trails of Kiskego County Park.
The sudden disadvantage of a nutritious son, brother, and friend, Green has left the Eastern Troy community numb with grief, yet united in a life celebration that burned bright with mercy, curiosity and a courageous spirit.
Born on November 2, 2007, for proud parents Daniel and Stephanie Zess, Grison grew up in a tight-sore family’s heat, which encouraged them to detect their passion with enthusiasm.
From his early days, he displayed an unquenchable curiosity and immense energy – offering trees in his backyard, before he could walk, collect rocks with the bark river, and could eat every nature book that he could find in the East Troy Public Library.
His younger sister, Lily, recalls how he created a “fort” of the logs that fell behind his playhouse and patiently taught her to spot deer tracks in the forest.
At the East Troy High School, Grison was known for his warm smile in the hallway and his leadership in the cross-country team. A dedicated distance runner, he often wakes up before the morning to log in with coach ramirez, which misses.
“Green’s work was unmatched – he had jokingly run the laps of the pond to see the sunrise, but he also looked out for the teammates, making sure that no one left behind.” His determination made him many individual best and a place as the captain of the team in his senior year.
Beyond athletics, Green’s love for outdoor found expression in his participation with the kettle Morine 4-HTV club. For a long time under the guidance of Mary Lu Peterson, president of the mentor and club, he mastered safe riding techniques and helped young members navigate difficult trail classes.
Mary Lu says, “Green was the first volunteer to clean the falling branches or guide a newcomer. He believed in sharing knowledge to protect and enjoy everyone.”
Family celebrations in Zes Home were marked by Greece’s cook experiments, often the specialty of their crowded “Camp Fire Nachos” or his famous homemade Berry Jam, which was cut from his mother’s garden.
He expressed happiness in teaching Lily how to knead the dough or identify wild mushrooms – always emphasizing respect for the rhythm of nature. Neighbors recall on Saturday afternoon when he and Daniel used to rebuild old farm equipment in their barn, echoing through grease-sided hands and laughter.
On the evening of 7 June, Green was riding with friends of the club on an familiar mark, when ATV faced unstable ground near a riverbank. Despite the rapid response of the local first respondents, he bowed to his injuries before the assistance arrived. The Muskego County Sheriff Department has described the accident as a tragic reminder of the unexpected nature of our beloved Wisconsin landscape.
Green is alive by his parents; Her sister, lily; Grandfather -Dadi Robert and Marjori Zes; And a wide cycle of aunt, uncle, cousin, classmates and colleagues who will take their memory forever in their hearts.
A journey to honor Gresan’s life will be held on Friday, June 13 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at North Shore Community Church, 200 Main Street, East Troy. A memorial service will follow on Saturday, 14 June at 11:00 am, with the burial in the East Troy cemetery.
In exchange for flowers, the ZESS family requests donations to the Wisconsin ATV Security Council, which reflects the passion of Green for the responsible trail riding, or to support young athletes at the East Troy High School Cross-Cantrie Booster Club that follows its footsteps. Messages of mourning and shared memories can be left to www.northshorechurch.org/obituaries.
Although his journey was very rare, Green’s soul – his laughter, generosity, and unwavering love for the world around him – echoes through the forest, which he said, the footpath she ran, and countless life he touched. We can honor their legacy by embracing adventure work, cares fiercely to each other, and ever losing the wonder that fuel his extraordinary life
