Dallas, TX – 14 June, 2025 – A tragic discovery on Saturday morning inspired a person in a swimming pool towards the south -west of the city.
According to the Dallas Police Department, the authorities were sent to a residential or community pool after reporting a non -residential person in a property in 5300 blocks in 5300 blocks of South Hampton Road at around 4:15 pm. Emergency medical services were immediately called to the spot. Despite the first efforts by the respondents, the person was declared tragically dead at the scene.
Authorities have not yet issued the identity, age or gender of the deceased, which is a pending notification of family members. What is known so far is that the person was discovered in water that appears to be a residential or possibly multi-unit housing complex pool. The nature of the call and initial response suggests that the afflicted can not pay any attention to the water alone or no one can be noticed for an undesirable period of time.
Both the Homoid Unit and Crime Scene Response Team of the Dallas Police Department were called to the spot to process evidence and gather witness statements. So far, investigators have not dismissed any possibility – including accidental drowning, foul play, or a medical episode – and they emphasize that the circumstances around the event are unclear.
Detectives are reviewing safety footage from nearby surveillance cameras, interviewing potential witnesses in the area, and conducting intensive examination of the scene. Neighbors and residents of the surrounding premises were seen talking with the authorities, and some were awakened by the emergency vehicle siren in the first hours.

The office of the Dallas County Medical Examiner is conducting a full corpse examination to determine the official cause and the method of death, which can provide a significant timeline for search and important insight into events.
This phenomenon marks another summer tragedy as the temperature increases and the use of the pool across the entire region increases. The Dallas officials are reminding the public to take proper safety precautions at any time during the off-hours using the residential pool.
