Palatka, Florida – After an intensive search spanning multiple states, 16-year-old Madison Fields, missing since February from Colerain Township, Ohio, has been safely located in Palatka, Florida. The Cincinnati chapter of the FBI confirmed the news, bringing relief to his family and community after several weeks of uncertainty.

The investigation intensified when authorities identified a person of interest in Tennessee connected to Fields’ disappearance. An FBI hostage rescue team was immediately dispatched to the suspect’s home, but discovered he had already left. However, law enforcement didn’t stop there – they tracked the suspect to a hotel in Florida, where they located Fields.

A collaborative effort between the FBI and local police led to the discovery of the suspect’s vehicle in a parking lot in Palatka. Shortly afterward, Fields was found safe inside a hotel.

Family friend Alicia Brabant expressed immense relief upon hearing the news. He said, “Given the circumstances, to know that she was found alive is a huge relief. This whole situation is extremely scary, and to know that she is OK and will be back home is truly a blessing.” Brabant stressed the importance of the community’s role in helping bring Fields home. “There was a village and an army around him, and he probably didn’t even know it.”

The suspect is now in custody, and law enforcement is continuing to pursue the case. As Madison Fields prepares to return home, her family and community are filled with gratitude for the quick resolution of a harrowing ordeal.
