OPP, Alabama – It is with intensive sadness and heavy hearts that Christie Don Shaw’s family and friends announced their tragic pass on June 27, 2025 at just 20 years of age. Christie was taken from this world very soon after a disastrous car accident, leaving her family, friends, and the OPP community in shock and mourning. Known for his loving nature, bright smile and lively energy, Christie was a bright light in everyone’s life, which he was happy to know. His sudden disadvantage has made a void that the words can rarely occupy.
OPP, Born in Alabama and grew up, Christie adopted life with a heart full of honesty, warm and love. Whether she was spending time with friends, offering someone a needy word, or laughing during family celebrations, Christie had a unique way to make everyone around her felt, valuable and appreciation. His kindness and energy were contagious, and his presence gave happiness to all those who got the privilege to know.
Christy played the most role, she was an aunt. He shared a special, playful bond with his nephew Ashra, and who saw him together saw the spirit of deep love and nutrition, which defined Christie. Ashra brought out Christie’s joyful and careful side, and his time was filled with moments of laughter, fickleness and tender connections. Christie’s love for his family was unbreakable, and he always took time to ensure that his loved ones felt important and valuable.
Christie’s closest friends describe her as a soft soul with a generous heart.
