Passing of Nicholas Dedernia marks the end of a well -lived life, which expanded decades to his country, his community and his family. On January 4, 1941, in Catskils, New York, the late Nicolas J and Theresa “Tesi” (Petramley) in Dedernia, Nicholas dedicated most of his life to serve others. He died peacefully in his house, left behind the legacy of love, power and integrity. Nicholas’s wishes were clear, and thus, there would be no service.

Nicholas was a proud graduate of St. Patrick High School, where he set the foundation of a committed life for development and service. He served the United States Army from 1961 to 1965 respectfully, a period that shaped his strong sense of duty and discipline. After his military service, Nicolas earned his guru in biology from Suny New Paltz, a step that set him on his long career path.
He spent years to work as a parole officer with the NIS Department of Karseks and Community Supervision, a job that contributed to him to the safety and rehabilitation of countless persons. Nicholas retired in 2002, proceeded to enjoy his well -earned retirement in Nevada. Every summer, he returned to his hometown catskil, visited with a soul with family and friends, which touched everyone.
Nicholas was predetermined by his brother, Frank Decharnia, but leaving a strong family heritage. He has survived from his loving son and daughter -in -law, Mark and Franceska Dedernia’s catskils, his grandson, Andrew Dedernia and his wife, Lewis of South Cairo.
