What happened
On Monday, emergency services responded to a call about a medical emergency at a camp in Nottingham, near Statharn, where they were found to be affected by eight children and an adult who is considered a toxicity. East Midlands Ambulance Service sent ten ambulances including paramedics and air ambulances. All the victims were rushed to the hospital, but the children were later discharged after treatment as a precaution. The adult was also rushed to the hospital, but was discharged shortly after.
The police have since clarified that the incident occurred on Sunday, although initial reports indicated that it took place on Monday. The force has referred to itself to the police conduct (IOPC) for an independent office at confusion about handling the timeline and police case.
