It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that we have John’s. Shares the devastating news of Decan’s passage, which is a beloved member of our modeling and miniature community and a foundation stone of the Sprue group. John left us this morning, and his loss takes deep rebirth among those who had respect to know – personally and through shared passion we all hold for the hobby that brought us together.
John Ke. Who was Dizan?
John was not just an fond of – he was a kind of person who raised the entire community only by making it a part of it. Whether he was offering a word of encouragement to the beginning that struggled with his first construction, was sharing detailed knowledge about vague model kits and painting techniques, or simply showing to attach, support and connect, John brought an infallible spark of a cool generosity and happiness. She was an incarnation of patience, kindness and humility – which not only made her a respected person in our hobby, but was also a dear friend for many people.
His contribution to Spro was far ahead of the models he had gathered or the posts shared by him. John was a mentor, a motivator and a voice of logic and inspiration. He had a gift to welcome others, raise people, and even to convert the most technical of subjects into some accessible and pleasant. His enthusiasm was contagious, his advice was always thoughtful, and his appearance was actually grounding.
John’s legacy
But more than his deep knowledge or talent, it was John’s heart that separated him. He really cared for people. He made time for the conversation, offered help without asking, and celebrated the successes of others with real pleasure. Many of us knew him not only as a modeler, but as a friend – one who remembered small details, checked during difficult times, and celebrated every small victory as if it was a big.
For many of us, Sprow will never feel so again without John. The conversation will be slightly calm, the inside joke will be slightly more hollow, and a significant piece of disappearance. His absence will be felt deeply in every discussion thread, build log and community project, which he once supported so much passion.
Tribute to John
As we process this heart -wrenching loss, we invite all those who knew John to share his memories, photos, or even a kind of word. Let us not only make it with our hands, but remember for the community that he helped to make it with his heart.
John Ke. To Dezan – Thank you. Thank you for your soul, your guidance, your humor and your friendship. You made this community better than being in it. You will be remembered a lot but never forgot.
You can rest peacefully, John. Sprue clips are silent today, but your legacy is in every construction inspired by you.
