The city of Opelusus in Louisiana was killed by a tragedy on the night of May 24, 2025, when 22 -year -old Justin Washington was badly shot in a residential neighborhood. His death sent shockwaves through the community, misery, resentment and rapid response from local law enforcement. Within the days, the Opelsus Police Department announced the arrest of four persons, it is believed that it is associated with murder, marks a major success in the investigation and brings hope for justice.

He was found seriously injured at a private residence in Opellas, at around 10:30 pm, emergency respondents arrived immediately after reporting gunfire, but despite his efforts, Justin died due to his injuries at the scene.
