The New York Police Department has identified 21 -year -old Irwin Provitu in a tragic shooting near Kotona Park last Friday. Provitt was badly shot in the head inside a playground near the East 173rd Street at around 12:45 pm, rushed to the emergency respondents, but was declared dead at the scene, causing shock and mourning to the community.
Eyewitnesses described the scene as chaotic and terrible. One person told News 12 that a large group of youth around 15 to 20 had gathered near the playground moments before the Gunshots exit. “They just started shooting.
