Newton County, GA A quiet night in the Nuton County was shattered by a tragedy when a 15-year-old boy from Covington was killed on Monday, 2 June 2025 late Monday night in a hit-end-run accident. This deadly incident occurred to the south of the Humingbird Lane on Highway 36, a stretch of the road which has now become an immediate investigation by local authorities.
According to the Newton County Sheriff Office, deputy was sent to the spot at around 10:30 pm after a report by a pedestrian lying on the road. On arrival, law enforcement and emergency personnel discovered suffering from unanimous and painful injuries to adolescent victims. Despite the sharp response, the boy was declared dead on the spot.
The victim’s identity has not been publicly released at the family request, but the authorities confirmed that he was a local 15 -year -old boy from Kovington. The news of his death has been ripped through the community, both of them come to the neighboring, classmates and loved ones to come up with the loss of life.
Investigators have since collected evidence from the scene and believe that the vehicle involved in the hit-end is one. Pearl white carHowever, make and models have not yet been determined. The vehicle is expected to have noticeable front-end damage.
Newton County Sheriff Office is urging anyone with information – no matter how modest it looks – to come forward. Any suggestions about suspected vehicles in the surrounding houses or businesses, eyewitness accounts, or around the time of the incident may prove to be important for investigation.
