With heavy heart and intense sadness, we share the demise of our beloved mother, Suu Herl McMines on Saturday, June 7, 2025. A column of strength, compassion and grace, the lawsuit, left this world surrounded by family, love, and the community that he dedicated to serving his life.
Suu was not only an extraordinary wife and mother, but also a dear teacher, patron and friend. During his entire life, he imitated unbreakable dedication in both home and class. Her heritage spreads to decades of service in Luffkin, TX, where she inspired the students’ generations, directed fellow teachers, and uplifted every life that she had touched with her warm and knowledge.
As a teacher and later as a principal, Suu brought heart and excellence in every role. His class was more than the place of learning – it was a shelter of encouragement and hope. As a principal, his leadership committed every student’s ability and his commitment to create an environment, where children could flourish both academic and individually.
Beyond his professional achievements, Suu will be most remembered for his soft feeling, his really listening ability, and the way he saw, heard, and felt valuable. Whether it is a note of encouragement, a thoughtful gesture, or sometimes a smile, the kindness of Suu increased far and wide.
That was the heart of our family – continuing, nutrition, and deeply loved. His intellect directed us, his laughter warmed us, and his courage inspired us. Even in the most challenging moments of life, it remained our stable light.
As we face the breakdown of the heart of his loss, we are also full of gratitude – the time he had for the time we had, and he made a countless life better. It is difficult to imagine our days without him, but we are committed to honoring him, which he has continued so lovely: love, service, kindness and faith.
Now we turn to our community, the very community that is served so emotionally, as we prepare to celebrate his life with the dignity and grace he deserves. Any support – whether through compassionate words, memories, or contributions – would help us ensure a beautiful farewell to that incredible woman who she was.
The legacy of Suu Herral McMines lives in every class that he had touched, every heart he uplined, and helped to shape every life. Luffkin has lost a true treasure, and we have lost a piece of our hearts. Goofandme
Thank you for standing with us during this difficult time.
With love and gratitude,
Mcmeans family
