With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, Clifton Joseph Colston III’s family and friends announced their peaceful passing on 26 June 2025 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. A dear son, brother, father, friend and neighbor, Cliftton Karuna, calm strength, and unwavering devotion to those leaving behind a legacy that he loved.
Born in Lake Charles and raised, the clifton was a proud Luisian with a love for family, faith and community. From an early age, his warm conduct, friendly smile, and liberal sentiment caressed them all those who met him. Cliftton had a special way to welcome and see everyone – a quality that remained stable throughout his life.
Clifton was a man of many talents and interests. Whether he is giving a hand to the needy neighbor, advising the youth in the community, or cooking the gambo of a famous family, he put his heart in whatever he did. He pushed himself forward with calm dignity and proud of his role as a column of his work, his friendship and support of many.
A deep spiritual person, Clifton, directed his life by faith and humility. He was a member of his local church for many years, where he was not only a familiar face, but also another people turned into difficulty. He believed in kindness, forgiveness and community power, and these beliefs gave shape to the way they were alive.
Clifton was the rock of his family for those who knew him best. He was a loving father, a dedicated son and a loyal friend. He approached paternity with patience and unconditional love, always tried to set an example of honesty, flexibility and integrity. He offered knowledge not through grand speeches, but through constant acts of care and meditation.
Clifton’s passing leaves an irreparable zero in all of them who knew him. He is alive by his nurtured family members, including his children, brothers -in -law, extended family and countless friends, who were touched his warmth. Each of them carried forward the lessons he had provided, the stories he shared, and the love he had given very independently.
Although the words cannot occupy a complete measure of the effect of Cliftton, their legacy lives in the life he touched. His memory will be honored in calm acts of kindness, hearty laughter on shared memories, and a community’s permanent love changed forever by his presence.
A celebration of Clifton’s life will be held in Lake Charles, where friends and family will gather to pay tribute to a person whose heart was as big as the sky. In exchange for flowers, the family please request that a local youth mentoring was donated to the program or a community outreach organization in memory – the costed cared deeply about Cliftton.
