Christian James Roston, the most recently died on May 28, 2025 of St. Louis Park, Minnesota. Born on 29 June 1998 in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, Christian lived a life defined with creativity, intelligence, calm humor and deep mercy.
As a child, Christian was calm, but there was a sharp intellect that could catch you the guards in the best way. He loved playing video games and organizing Nerf Wars with his friends. A serious reader from a young age, Christian’s love for stories evolved into anime and a deep praise for writing.
His artistic gifts were clear in his ability to attract almost anything, and he never went away without one of his beloved rubic cubes – easily looking at him in less than 12 seconds. He shared his love of riddles with his mother, often spending time working through them.
Christians enjoyed many types of interests. He played baseball, football and frisally golf, and he taught himself to play guitar. He loved animals and was a special habit of cooking, often pleasing family and friends with his cooking compositions.
At the High School at Roosevelt High School in Des Moines, Iowa, he was an outstanding student and a proud member of Jrotc, where he reached the post of Company Commander. He also started working at the fairway grocery store during high school, where he became a reliable and dedicated employee.
Christian earned a full-tuition George Washington Carver Scholarship for Iowa State University, where he graduated with a degree in computer engineering in 2020. After the epidemic, he returned to the ISU to pursue each other’s passion- sets up journalism.
He concluded as a reporter and editor Iowa state dailyMaking podcasts and bringing sports stories into life with intelligence and nature. His internship with Iowa Barnstomers and with Carroll Times Herald Further demonstrated his skills as a storyteller and digital material manufacturer.
In August 2024, Christian moved to St. Louis Park, Minnesota with friends and began working as a chef in the corner grill in Eden Prey. He loved the creative outlet that was provided with the kitchen and he continued to improve his skills.
Christian was eager to go back to Iowa in June to start a new chapter with his girlfriend, Gloria Youngbier, and to start his career in sports journalism – filled with a future promise that gave him great pleasure.
Those who knew Christians remember them as thoughtful, smart, generous and endless loyal. He was a loving son who was a protective and kind brother of Jackie, and a firm friend. He contacted life with curiosity, care and a calm force, who praised all of them who met him.
Christian is alive by his mother, Christie Johnson (and partner Tod Richards); Father, Clint Roston (and stepmother Natalie Roston); Sister, Jackie Roaston; Girlfriend, Gloria Youngbier; Grandma, Ellen Hugen and Ireen Roston; And many loving aunt, uncle, cousin, and extended family. He was before his death by his grandfather, stepfather, great -grandfather and other beloved family members.
