The Boston community is mourning the sudden death of Chad Eric Nix, 44, who passed away on March 6, 2026, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. Chad’s untimely passing has left a deep void among his family, friends and those who knew him throughout his life.

Born on July 7, 1981 in Elizabethtown to parents Terry Lee Nix and Angela Jean Doutaz Meenach, Chad was a well-known face in the community. As a heavy equipment operator, Chad worked for several companies over the years and contributed to the local workforce with his skills and dedication. People who worked with him remember him as a reliable and hardworking person who gave his best in every project.

Chad’s family and faith were the cornerstone of his life. He was a valued member of Potter’s Hope Church, where he found spiritual satisfaction and harmony with other members of the congregation. His attendance at church was evidence of his commitment to his faith and his love for the community.

Surviving are his parents, Terry Nix (Mary Dianne Brown) and Angela Meenach; his brother, Randy Nix (Ashley); half-sisters Tracy Kelly (Mike) and Christy Thompson (Jamie); half-brother Travis Browne; as well as his nieces and nephews, Ryan, Sydney and Finnan Nix. Chad’s family remembers him as a kind, loving soul who always made time for the people he cared about.

A memorial service for Chad will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 6 pm at Trowbridge Funeral Home in Boston, with Pastor Wayne Clemons officiating. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home from 4 to 8 pm the same day.

The loss of Chad Eric Nix is ​​deeply felt by all who knew him, but his family and community are consoled by the memories of his life, the work he did, and the love he shared with those around him.
