It is accompanied by heavy hearts and intensive gratitude that the bowling Green Police Department and the Greater Kentaki community consulted the loss of Master Police Officer Dale Barbiya, Badge 211 on the morning of 14 June 2025 after a courageous fight with cancer. Dale Barbia’s journey in law enforcement began in January 2008 when he decided to dedicate his life to serve and protect others. A Louisville native, Dale’s first role in Dale’s policing, took him to Jackson, Tennessi, where he started his career. However, this bowling was in Green, Kentki, that he would make his indelible impression. His commitment to the profession and the people he served, inspired him to spend most of his law enforcement career with the bowling Green Police Department, where he played several prominent roles and earned confidence and praise for his colleagues and community.

During his 17 years of service, Dale Barbia’s contribution to law enforcement was nothing short of extraordinary. He served in various capabilities, including a patrol officer, K9 handler, and most specially included as the longest running crisis negotiator of the department. It was in his role as a crisis -negotiator that Dale was actually shining, using his unique mixture of sympathy, to increase the calm legend and communication skills to increase unstable conditions and help individuals in mental health crises. The role, which is often described by Dell as a calling compared to a job, earned him a prestigious honor in the name of Kentki Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) of the Year in 2017, a well -worthy recognition of his dedication to his community’s mental health and safety.

While his work in law enforcement was remarkable, Dell Barbia’s influence progressed much further than his professional achievements. Known for his humble and selfless nature, Dell was a person who always kept others before. His colleagues in the department remembered him as a patron, a friend and a true brother in blue. Dale was always a hand lending when his fellow officials needed help, whether it was offering support with personal tasks such as yard work or moving, or just for someone in need. His unwavering loyalty and kindness expanded for the children of the BGPD family, who lovingly referred to him as “Uncle Dale”. He often spoiled them, joking with them, and examining them even during his last days.

But Dale Barbia was not just a dedicated officer and patron – he was also a person of a great character, with a personality who left a permanent impression on all. His greatest life’s presence, infectious laughter, and love for the story made him unforgettable for those with whom he enjoyed working with. Dale’s stories about the bull riding and their love of Rhodio World were mythological, and he often wore his championship belt bals proudly, which was a symbol of his passion for the game. His cowboy spirit -tuff, loyal, and determined – through every aspect of his life and career, the way he reached both his professional duties and personal relations.

Out of his work as a police officer, Dell Barbiya was known for his kindness and generosity. He was always ready to lend one hand to those people, whether he was examining the elderly residents, giving food to the struggling families, or quietly repairing the house without being recognized. His actions said about the kind of person he was – a person whose heart was big as his commitment to make his community a better place.

In addition to his personal kindness, Dell Bowling was also an emotional lawyer for Green people, who always tried to create a strong, more kind community.
