James Andrew Delozier Tracy City TN Obituri and Death – The community mourns the loss of Mr. James Andrew Delozier, who died peacefully on Wednesday, June 26, 2025 at the age of 76. A dedicated husband, father, grandfather, experienced and teacher, James lived life in humility, duty and unwanted love for his family and country.
Born on 10 March 1949, Lebanon, Tennessy, James was the son of late Robert Edward Delozier and Julia Walin Right Delozier. One of the eight children, they were reared in a house that created strong values of faith, discipline and compassion – which will remain central throughout life.
Initial dedication to James service was followed by his honorable six -year tenure in the United States Air Force, where he specialized Cryptographic maintenanceHis work in this high -technical and sensitive field reflects his accuracy, integrity and patriotism during an important era of national and global stress.
After completing his military service, James infection for a career that would define most of his life. For 34 years, he taught drafting and computer building at Gundundi County High School, which became a respected and dear patron. He was praised not only for his extensive technical knowledge but also for his patience, kindness and unwavering commitment for his students’ success. Countless young life was shaped by his guidance, many of which pursued a career in engineering, design and information technology due to their influence.
James’ personal life was equally rich and full. He shared a 50 -year loving marriage with his wife, Melba Adams DelozierWith whom he recently celebrated a golden anniversary. Their marriage was a will for permanent partnership and shared belief. His daughter, Amy delosier opetichHer husband EricAnd granddaughter Cameron, Alice, And Olivia His life was proud and bliss. Loved by love as “Papa”, James nurtured with her granddaughters every moment, actively participated in her life and milestone.
He maintained a close bond with his expanded family including his mother -in -law Ruth adamsHis brother -in -law, and many nephews and nephews. Graveside will be held on services Friday at 10:00 am But Bonnie Ox Cemeteryoperated by Minister Roy HopkinsAccording to the wishes of the family, no journey will be done in the funeral house. In exchange for flowers, a memorial can be contributed to the Bonnie Ox Cemetery in honor of James.
