The community of Ciox Falls and the campus of Dordt University, a bright and lovely student, is mourning the sudden and heartbreaking loss of Liam Sorenson, who died after a tragic car accident.
Liam died earlier this week, surpassing a wide troupe of family, friends, classmates and professors, who are hurting the untimely loss of a young man filled with promises.
Born in South Dakota’s Sax Falls and grew up, Liam was known for his kind heart, his curious minds and faith, family and academics.
He graduated from Lincoln High School, where he was equally praised by colleagues and teachers for their respectable performance, easy nature, and leadership qualities and through additional participation.
Liam was currently chasing a degree at the University of Dordt at the Sox Center in Iowa, where he had already started making a permanent impression. He was studying in an area that added his love for people with his commitment to service symptoms that those who knew him define a lot about their life.
Whether he was working voluntarily in the community, was participating in the events of the campus ministry, or working on group projects with classmates, Liam was a type of person who brought light, laughter and encouragement, wherever he went.
Liam’s life was a car accident earlier this week. The details issued by the local authorities confirm that he died in the accident scene. No other major injuries were reported, but the accident is under investigation.
His sudden death released his loved ones again and broke the Dord community. Tributes have been paid to social media and university channels, which shows the widespread impact of Liam in such a short time.

Liam’s parents, brother -in -law and extended families are doing a disadvantage that no word can fully express. In their pain, they are also catching the belief that shapes Liam’s life – that he is now on peace in the arms of a loving God.
In a statement shared with friends and community members, the Sorenson family thanked the people who have reached in support, and asked for privacy as they begin to navigate the days ahead.
