Former LSU gymnast Livi Dunn is preparing for her next chapter – this time in acting.
In an exclusive interview with People on February 7, the 23-year-old revealed her aspirations to pursue acting after retiring from gymnastics in April 2025. “One thing people might be surprised about is that I take acting lessons – and I really like it,” she shared. “It’s something I’ve been passionate about for a long time. I was interested in doing it at LSU, but when you’re a student-athlete in school, sports are your top priority; gymnastics was my main focus.”
Now that she’s stepped away from her gymnastics career, Dunn says she has more time to focus on her creative side. Although she doesn’t have a specific direction yet between TV or film, she’s eager to embrace the whole experience of acting. He explained, “I love collaborating on creativity and seeing the end result of something good coming out of it, it’s something I love.” “Whether it’s gymnastics or acting in a movie or TV show, I think it’s great to see all your hard work pay off.”
In addition to acting, Dunn plans to continue expanding his other ventures, notably livi fundWhich helps female athletes at LSU secure zero (name, image and likeness) deals. She added, “I think it would be really cool to help educate female athletes about how to brand themselves.”
Dunn, already a well-known figure in the influencer and brand partnership sphere, has collaborated with companies like American Eagle, grubhuband others, and she graced the cover Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. She also hopes to emulate the success and character of her mother, whom she calls her role model. “She’s my idol, and I love her very much,” Dunn shared warmly.
With a future focused on both creative and entrepreneurial endeavors, Dunn’s post-gymnastics journey is one to watch.
