A Cincinnati woman has been sentenced to prison nearly a year after hitting three children with her vehicle following a violent altercation with other women. Jada Lucki, a 25-year-old mother of four, pleaded guilty in January to four counts of felonious assault following the July 30, 2025 incident. One child was seriously injured and two others suffered serious injuries in the accident.

What happened:
The incident unfolded outside the Alms Apartments on Victory Parkway, where Luckey, as she was attempting to leave the apartment complex, got into an altercation with another woman. According to court documents, the argument escalated into a physical altercation, in which Luckey was attacked by several women. After walking away from the confrontation, Luckey got into her vehicle, where, angrily, she drove toward one of the women involved in the attack.

In this sequence, Lucky hit three children sitting near the footpath. According to prosecutors, the children, all under the age of three, were left abandoned near the road. A two-year-old boy was seriously injured after being dragged under a car, suffering a fractured spine, broken ribs and cervical fracture. The other two children suffered broken bones, including a leg and broken ribs.

Luckey later admitted to authorities that she was under the influence of drugs and alcohol at the time of the incident.

Punishment and reactions:
On February 18, 2026, Luckey was sentenced to four years in prison for each count of felonious assault, plus credit. This means his total prison sentence will be four to six years. Lucky will also get credit for the 203 days she has already spent in jail.

During sentencing, Luckey expressed remorse for his actions. She said, “I’m sorry, it was never my intention to hurt anyone’s children. If I could take it back, I would, and I take full responsibility for it.” His attorney, Bradley Fox, said Luckey deeply regretted his actions but claimed he was provoked.

Community Impact and Results:
This tragic incident has left a lasting impact on the community, especially the families of the children involved. The children’s mothers have been charged with child endangerment for leaving the children unattended, which prosecutors say increases the seriousness of the incident.

The case has also highlighted concerns about road rage, substance abuse and the safety of children in public places. In light of this incident, local officials are urging the public to be mindful of their actions and to always prioritize the safety of children.

looking ahead:
As Lucky begins his prison sentence, the families of the children he attacked are grappling with the aftermath of the incident. The road to recovery for the injured children will be long, as they grapple with the physical and emotional scars of that day. This case is a sobering reminder of the dangerous consequences that can arise from uncontrolled anger and substance abuse, especially when children are involved.
