The Salem’s community and the First Slavic Baptist Church’s congregation is deeply mourned to the tragic and untimely passing of Oleg Polishchuk, an 18 -year -old man whose life was reduced to a devastating accident on the night of June 12, 2025. Oleg died at 11:30 pm, after knowing a serious feeling for his family, the church. Despite its short time on Earth, the effect of Oleg was both powerful and far -reaching. His closest people describe a young man whose bright spirit, humility and deep compassion left an impression on every soul he faced. Whether it is a passing conversation, a helping hand, or a quiet moment of encouragement, Oleg had a rare and beautiful ability to see, listen and really care.

Oleg Salam was a dedicated member of the First Slavic Baptist Church, where his trust was active and visible. He served honestly in the Church’s media ministry, often working behind the curtains to record and stream services for the benefits of others. Friends and leaders recalled the same Oleg to the first coming and final – always ready to help with a joyful heart, never recognizing. “Oleg was not just a volunteer – he was the cornerstone of our youth ministry,” shared by a church leader. “Their calm strength, the heart of the servant, and honestly loved to God and whatever people do, were clear in it.”

Outside the participation of his church, Oleg was a young man with big dreams and infinite curiosity. Filled with aviation, he expected to pursue a future in the region – a vision fuel by their sharp mind, sense of entrepreneurship and tireless determination. Whether the school, community participation, or the dream of the sky, Oleg lived their lives with intentions, integrity and inspiration.

The sudden loss of such a bright and loyal soul has shaken the Salem community. The messages of love and remembrance have been inserted throughout the social media, each one lived with a picture of a life, kindness, purpose and grace. His classmates, neighbors and teachers remember Oleg for the warmth and generosity not only for his achievements, but also in all aspects of his life. He was always eager to help, hear and improve the lives of people around him.

Although his journey was very low, Oleg’s legacy will remain in the hearts of all of them who were blessed with his presence. He was a son, a brother, a friend, a servant and a dreamer. Their memory now fly, reminiscent of us all to live with love, to serve without expectation, and to pursue our passion fearlessly.

In his death, Oleg has inspired a community to reflect his own life and can live with how, also, purpose and intentions. Their unwavering belief, love for others, and chase of dreams reminds of the incredible effect of a life that can be a life. Oleg’s ability to inspire others will never be forgotten, and their legacy will continue to affect those who were lucky to know them.

As the community gather to celebrate Oleg’s life, they not only take the pain of harm with them, but also hope and belief that he lived so beautifully. His family, friend, and church family are firm in their belief that Oleg will remain on the memory, not only through the impact on his life, but through life he touched and inspired and inspired him. Maybe his memory keeps raising others – as he lifted everyone around him.

The funeral services for Oleg Polishchuk will be held on Tuesday, June 17 at 11:00 am at the First Slavic Baptist Church in Salem, Oregon, followed by a burial service in the Hilltop cemetery at 2:00 pm. These services will give friends, family and community members a chance to say their last goodbye and celebrate the life, their beliefs and their permanent feelings.

“What we love does not go away. They walk with us every day,” a phrase that catchs the spirit of lovers with Oleg, will continue to resonate in the hearts of all those who knew him.
