Terry and Judy Richard, Port Barre, Lougie residents of Louisiana, died tragically on Saturday, May 24, 2025. His unexpected deaths have influenced the local community deeply, where they were nurtured for their warmth, family dedication and active participation in community life.

A joint funeral service on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Port Barre at First Baptist Church, the pastor which will be operated by Jenkins. Darshan is determined at the same place from 9:00 am by the time of service. After service, they will be placed to relax in the Sacred Heart Tomb at Port Barre.

Terry Richard, born on 24 April 1952, was a glorious experienced and recipient of the Medal of Honor of the United States Army. He was known for unwavering dedication to his country and his family. Judy Baron Richard shared Terry’s commitment to Terry’s family and community, and together he created a focused life around love, service and faith. The couple had passion for travel, discovering various parts of the United States, creating permanent memories on the way.

They are alive by their children: Port Barre’s Megan Dilla (Kevin), Derider’s Monica Harvey (Jamie), Louisiana, Mitchell Love (Manor) Opelus, and Marcus Richard (Wendy) of Port Barre. His legacy continues through his grandson: Fara Desant, Gauge Harvey, Travis Lanklos, Kaleb Diaville, Kaisa Dilla, Calli Richard, Kade Richard, Konner Richard and Carter Richard; And great-addresses: Audrey Torian, Sabrina Desant, Rate Lanklos, Tuff Lanklos, Landary Harvey and Jamie Harvey.

Terry is also alive by his sisters: Lake Charles’s Linda Gillori, Unis’s Tammy Sanders (Pat) and many, Louisiana’s Petricia Shaw (Mark). Judy is alive by her brother, Dell Baron (Cindy) and sisters of her brother, Port Barre: Cheryl Legue (Leroy), Jackie Guidroz, Pat Gaathier (Bobby), and Pris Legune (Steven), all of Port Barre.

Terry was taken by her parents, Joseph and Mary Eva Noel Richard, and brother-in-law, Edward Guelori before the death. Judi died before his parents, Lenis and Bernis Beron, brother, Nelson Baron and Sisters, Linda Starmar and Bridget Cubedo before death.

The community mourns the disadvantage of Terry and Judy Richard, remembering them dedicated parents, loving grandparents and active members of their church and community. His life was a will for service, faith and family values. They leave behind a legacy of love and dedication that will continue to inspire all those who knew them.
