What happened: Firing at Two Brothers Roundhouse

On Saturday, at approximately 9:10 p.m., Aurora Police Dispatch received multiple emergency calls reporting shots fired at the Two Brothers Roundhouse, located at 205 N. Broadway. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.

The Aurora Police Department’s Investigations Division, supported by evidence technicians, immediately began investigating the scene. As the investigation progressed, the Kane County Coroner’s Office was called in to assist in identifying the victims and handling the remains.

Identification of victims and suspected motive

The victims have been identified as 24-year-old Jazmine Barclay of Aurora and 43-year-old Brian Heineman of Naperville. Both were pronounced dead from gunshot wounds, with Barclay dying at Mercy Hospital. The suspected perpetrator, Heinemann, was found dead at the scene from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Barclay was with a 33-year-old man on the balcony of the venue’s upper level when Henman entered the establishment. Eyewitnesses indicated that Heineman may have learned of their location through social media updates before arriving at the venue, where he began firing at both victims.

The 33-year-old man, who was hit by gunfire, remains in critical condition in the intensive care unit of a local hospital. Fortunately, no spectators or other patrons were injured during the incident.
